Hi Bel, Beautiful area, just a few minutes west of Lubango is an increidble pass down the escarpment, a must see if you are in the area. We fished and dived in the desert about 40kms south of Namibe which was a real adventure. Also see one of the 3 global identical huge statues of Christ, the other two are in Rio and Lisbon, I've seen this one and Rio (from sailing). Good luck for your travels, watching it all from teh office. Love, TKC
You girls will love Angola!!! It's my second home! To echo Tony, if you're in Lubango you HAVE to ride down Serra da Leba (pass) and also go check out Tunda Vala. It's absolutely amazing!! Have fun!! I'm currently in Pointe Noire (Congo). Down with flu for a few days. Will head for Gabon on Sunday...Libreville on Tuesday and then spend some time there applying for Nigeria visa.
